1.   …how many pedestrians were crossing the street?  2
2.   …were the pedestrians paying attention?  NO
3.   …how many people were there in the car?  1
4.   …how fast was the driver going? 
           __She was driving below the speed limit.
           __She was driving at the speed limit.
           X  She was exceeding (=going above) the speed limit.
5.   …did the driver see the pedestrian?  YES 
6.   …did she honk?  IT DOESN’T SAY.
7.   …did anyone get hurt?  YES 
8.   Did the sign at the crosswalk say WALK or DON’T WALK?   DON’T WALK
9.   Was it a “hit and run” accident? (=The driver hit someone and didn’t stop. He drove away.)
