1. Chu Yuen studied English for two years in China. Now she's a student at CCSF.
2. She has studied English here for four years, and she enjoys taking classes here.

Spelling rules to remember:
1. Double the final consonant after consonant + vowel + consonant CVC
or CC + vowel + consonant CCVC.

2. Don't double the final consonant after two vowels with the same sound (VVC):
