Exercise 3D: Liya says that she has met a famous person before.

Exercise 3D.  In the box, read the instructions and examples that the teacher has given 

you.

Write about the student you spoke to.  

In the first sentence, use present perfect + before.

In the second sentence, use the same verb as in the first sentence, but change to simple past + a definite past time expression. 

In the third sentence, write something else the student told you.

Example                  

Question:  Have you ever eaten caviar?  Roland

                   When?  2 yrs. ago, France    Other Info:  didn’t like it, was too salty

→  Roland says that he has eaten caviar before.  He ate it two years ago in France.  He didn’t like it because he thought it was too salty.

Now correct the summaries that you see below.

1.   Have you ever been in an accident before?

     Miya says the she was an accident before. She was in accident last summer. She hurts her back. It is the other driver’s fault because he was speeding.

2.   Question: Have you ever gone back to your native country before?

     Allen says that he has gone back to his native country. He go back last year. Things were better than before, but now he like living here better.

3.   Have you ever met a famous person before?

     Liya says that she has met a famous person before. She meet the basketball player Michael Jordan before 3 months. He very friendly and sexy.
