Present Continous or Simple Present?

 
 


Spelling rules to remember:
1. Double the final consonant after consonant + vowel + consonant CVC
or CC + vowel + consonant CCVC.

C V C  Right:  mopping   Wrong: moping
CCVC  Right: shutting   Wrong: shuting

2. Don't double the final consonant after two vowels with the same sound (VVC):
e a  t    Right:  eating    Wrong: eatting
VVC

3. When a word ends has a final 'e', drop the 'e' and add 'ing'
make  Right:  making   Wrong:  makeing
leave  Right:  leaving   Wrong: leaveing

2. is playing
3. are sleeping
4. is mopping
5. opens
6. are eating
7. drink
8. are you leaving
