Use as…as when two things are equal or the same.
Use not as…as to say that one thing is less…than
the other.

(=shorter)
as good-looking as not as good-looking as (=uglier)
as heavy as not as heavy as
(=lighter)

The second man is not as dark-skinned as the
first one.
Look at the pictures. Use as…as or not
as…as. Don’t use more… or -er.
7. (wide) The first shoe is not as wide as the second shoe.
8. (narrow) The second
shoe is not as narrow as the first shoe.
9. (long) The man’s hair is not as long as the woman’s
hair.
10. (dark) The womans’s hair is not as dark as the man’s
hair.
11. (wrinkled 起 皱 的,
arrugado, мятый, جعدة) The second
pair of pants is not as wrinkled as the first
pair.
12. (long) The second
pair of pants is not
as long as the first
pair.
