Speaking: Negative Sentences (Madonna)
Make negative sentences.
If you see an auxiliary (an “aux-word”), simply put not (or n’t) after it.
If there isn’t an aux-word, use do/does/did + not (or n’t) + base form.
a. Madonna’s hair is dark now.
→ No, Madonna’s hair isn’t dark now.
b. She had long hair in high school.
→ No, she didn’t have long hair in high school.
1. She used to have curly, blond hair in high school. → No, she
2. She has purple hair now. → No, she
3. People still call her Madonna Ciccone. →
4. She dropped her first name when she became a singer.
5. She has made most of her money as a comedian. →
